Role Synopsis:
The Electrical & Instrumentation Lead Engineer will lead all related engineering and technical
activities of the project in that discipline, mainly related to Wellhead control panels/control systems & chemical Injection systems projects although not limited to those alone. He will support for any new product, system development, acting as an expert in the field of E & I engineering. He/She shall lead the team of E & I engineers remotely (They would be in an engineering back office different from where this positions based at) guiding them of the process, procedures, technical matters etc. and reviewing their works for approval/correction. He/She shall also provide guidance to shop-floor employees on Assembly of electrical items with reference to international standards, client requirements, ATEX/IEC requirements as applicable. He shall be an expert on ATEX systems
providing training & guidance to team under and in workshop for their required levels. He shall be
leasing with ATEX vendors & inspectors to get the ATEX file compiled for submission. .

Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)
  • Always lead and be seen to lead in all matters related to the MEA HSE plan and HSE House Rules.
  • Application and continuous improvement of standardized designs, processes and tools for delivery, monitoring and reporting of engineering work scope for E & I
  • Understand and assurance internally and externally for full ATEX compliance with regards to technical proposals to clients and project deliverables.
  • Ensure detailed engineering outputs from the E & I engineering team are complying with the clients’ specifications & standards.
  • Track engineering cost, schedule and quality to identify areas of risk and opportunity to improve.
  • Provide counsel to team on electrical & instrumentation and ATEX design practices and standards
  • Attend client meetings as required to support the team members technically and ensure client satisfaction and confidence is maintained
  • Utilise the global PDM and AX system for all aspect of engineering as applicable.
  • Ensure collaboration between Engineering and other operation functions – Supply Chain,
  • Projects and Production to ensure correct Design for Manufacture considerations are in place and agreed. Promote and encourage cross functional interaction and initiatives
  • Support Value Engineering projects across MEA
  • Support the LEAN program across all MEA bases – with a direct emphasis on the
  • Engineering arena.
  • Support the MEA Key Success Factors (KSFs)
  • Always lead and be seen to lead in all matters related to the values.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Productive Engineering hours worked
  • Compliance with client’s requirement in first go of drawing/document submission. (rejection rate less)
  • Margins attained from Engineering “up-selling” & from value engineering cost reductions
  • Timely support of resource to meet reasonable client deadlines.
  • Organic growth of Engineering Team ( E & I) via Career Building/Development internally
