Focuses on the safe performance of work, ensuring compliance with construction contract documents; ensuring that corporate requirements and initiatives realted to contractor health, safety and environment (HSE) are followed.  Verify that the contractor meets all contract obligations and the company’s personnel inspect and verify quality assurance, rather than direct or control the contractor’s field construction operations.  Responsible for performing the required verification of the correctness and adequacy of the construction contractor’s work in accordance with applicable specification, drawing and procedural requirements.  Verify that the work in progress is being performed in accordance with applicable specification, drawing and procedural requirements.  Ensure that corrective actions are taken to resolve the observed conditions to be undertaken.  Initiate for defective work, a technical assurance alert or non-conformance report and submit the report to the company’s construction management.  Also responsible for observing and reporting on construction activities in their specific areas of assignment.  Exercise as needed, the authority to recommend “stop work” to the contractor.  Witness contractor’s activities and endorse suppliers & contractors quality records as appropriate.  Perform quality inspection activities in accordance to the Quality Plan.  Provide a range of mechanical & piping (M & P) discipline, field inspection, completion and commissioning engineering  services for onshore oil & gas production facilities.  Completion of inspection check sheets and visual examination of components such as piping, valves, and other associated discipline system components.


10 + years experience in a construction inspection role on oil and gas projects involving: oil, water, and gas pipelines; pipeline facilities; field treating stations, LNG liquefaction or gasification plants and gas processing facilities
Recent construction inspection experience
Skillful at coordinating with the construction contractor to achieve mechanical completion status and seamless turnover of the project to the commissioning team
Knowledgeable about HSE  & best practices and safety and incident reporting requirements of applicable federal and state agencies
Perform inspection during fabrication activities as planned within the Inspection and Test Plans ITPs & ITRs
Provide assistance to Commissioning services as part of the site completions team during pre-commissioning, final commissioning and start up phases of the projects
Attend and contribute to site and project technical meetings as necessary
Provide expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems

Welding Inspector shall possess CSWIP 3.1 / AWS for welding inspection or equivalent acceptable to Company Quality Management Services and Certified to ASNT level II in RT, PT, MT and UT techniques

NDT Inspector shall be Certified to ASNT level II in RT, PT, MT and UT techniques

Relevant technical qualification or experience in piping systems e.g. 5 years experience as piping general foreman

Relevant experience in:
Equipment and piping preservation requirements
Equipment and piping cleanliness requirements
Proficient in Inspection & Test Plans such as but not limited to
Above ground pipe installation
Pipe fit up and installation
Underground pipe installation
Hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing
Pipe shoes and supports
Experience in the installation and commissioning of mechanical piping systems, including
A wide range of Piping and Mechanical equipment used in the global Oil & Gas industry

Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
