The Business Development Manager represents the company in North, Central and South America for all business opportunities in that are in line with Corporate Strategy. The Business Development Manager communicates day-to-day with the Regional Business Acquisition Managers and reports to the General Manager of the company in the USA.
    The company is a fast growing heavy lift shipping and offshore company. We have been developing pioneering solutions for the shipping industry for almost 50 years and the company’s offshore division has built up a solid and reliable reputation as a combined transport and installation contractor in the offshore industry.
  • Maintain the general (public) industry intelligence
  • General Marketing of the companys maritime heavy lift capabilities in the Area;
  • Perform relationship and account management of all Clients (IOC, NOC, Independents and Main Contractors) and regional Key Suppliers/Partners (Design Houses, Vendors, Fabricators and other Contractors);
  • Handles company’s internal communication of generic market information and trends;
  • Represents the company at conferences and exhibitions including set up of local stakeholder presentations, workshops and trainings;
  • Provide input for market data files and perform portfolio analysis/target selection
  • Performs, and continuously monitors, the company vis-à-vis competitor analysis and prepare/amend partner plan,  if required;
  • Ensures company is on proposal/pre-qualification lists for projects which are of interest
  • Provides proposal (winning) strategy and support proposals team/process
  • Provides value based pricing input


  • Bachelors in Engineering or Commercial/Business Administration
  • 5 years experience in offshore heavy lift or installation industry
  • Minimum of 2 years engineering/commercial experience in a similar position
  • Willing to travel 25% to 50% internationally
  • Must be Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written);
  • Extroverted & social in nature
