Job Title – Digital Learning and Communication Specialist

Job Summary:

WTS Energy is the global to local staffing solution within the energy transition. It encourages and bridges peoples’ talents to job opportunities. What we envision is Kenyan industrialization powered by renewable energy.

Together with the Employment for Development program of GIZ and the National Industrial Training Authority we have developed a training platform that has become the most accessible place to gain skills that are needed in the renewable energy landscape of Kenya: Spark Energy Hub.

The Spark Energy Hub is aligned with our activities in Kenya, which include O&M services for Wind turbines, subcontracting for solar construction services, and contributing to the industrial processes of a second-generation bio fuel operations.

We are seeking a Digital learning and communication specialist to bring our training services to the next level. What does that entail? Thinking globally and acting locally in Kenya regarding the training communications of the WTS Energy brand. Moreover, a creative independent worker that’s able to bridge content developed by energy engineers and technicians from the training centers into accessible content. You are able to use your skills in User Experience / User Interaction for developing content on our learning management system front-end. You are savvy in word press and SEO of the training web page. With the content development there is expectations on basic administration of the learning resources of the training center. Sounds like you?

Job Responsibilities:

• Leading, developing, assisting on the content development of the learning management system related to the training strategy of WTS Energy / Spark Energy Hub.
• Operations & maintenance of the Spark Energy Hub web page in SEO and Word Press.
• Develop interdisciplinary content for social networks.
• Copy writing and using design software such as creative cloud and digital marketing tools for testing and trying content.
• Content development that supports the overall marketing strategy of WTS Energy for the audience in Kenya and East Africa.
• Helping with the physical marketing and communication activities such as Banners, brochures,billboards, events and marketing collateral of Spark Energy Hub.
• Recording customers inquiries and orders.
• Gather feedback from trainees and trainers.
• Maintain the sales CRM database.
• Basic administrative functions such as recognizing the training inventory and collaborating with hosting visitors that want to know more information about the training center.

Job Qualifications: 

• A Bachelor in Design / Marketing / Digital Media / UX-UI courses.
• A minimum of two years in SEO and Word press.
• Previous experience with e-learning platforms AND/OR education
• Have a genuine interest in renewable energy and is open to learning new things to move forward in her/his career.
• Organized, responsible with good time management skills.
• Not scared to think outside of the box.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications and Google drive.
• Able to adapt to new digital platforms.
• High energy level and eagerness to help.

Location – Nairobi, Kenya

Duration: (3 Month probation) towards 1 year with the possibility to extend to a permanent position.
