Bidding Support and Project Startup Specialist – Plant and Equipment

Activities

• Analysis of the commercial pipeline and identification of long-term partnerships and support of the commodity services in the identification of tender designers (already in the qualification phase). Activation of the market intelligence service for the development of new markets with particular focus on P&E category
• Definition, within the framework of the offer study in collaboration with the competent functions, of the Vendor Strategy by identifying the suppliers and contractors to be involved in the market analysis for the offer quotations
• Monitoring of activities linked to the offer study, ensuring the preparation and management of requests for quotation (RFQs) relating to specific projects, in coordination with the functions concerned
• Defining, negotiating and managing pre-bid agreements and/or contracts with strategic suppliers, in compliance with the Code of Ethics, the Organization, Management and Control Model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001 and the Anti-Corruption Model
• Analysis of the summary tabulations of the final offers, verifying, the potential objectives of further reducing procurement costs, with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of the offer in the tender phase
• In the start-up phase of the Operating Units, supervision of the activities supporting the preparation of the procurement budget and the bid reordering process, ensuring its verification in concert with Head of Project Technical Capacity Planning
• Supervision of activities to support the start-up phase of the Operating Units, ensuring the set-up and start-up of procurement processes, within the defined budget and targets.
• Supervision of hand-over activities in relation to pre-bid agreements and requirement plans for materials, equipment, machinery/plants, services and procurement/sub-contracting.

Requirements

• Master Degree
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of Italian will be considered a plus
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
• At least 2-5 years of experience in similar roles
• Aptitude for market analysis and benchmarking activities
• Ability to plan and monitor budgets
• Expertise in defining and implementing purchasing strategies
• Expertise in defining a plant and equipment investment strategy
• Technical skills and negotiation strategies
• Familiarity with contractual issues (especially framework agreements)
• Aptitude for value and cost analysis
