Job Description

 
We are looking for a Project Developer PV who will be responsible for progressing solar PV projects from land identification stage through to pre-construction across Italy.
The Project Developer report to the European Development Director and the position will be based in Rome office, but remote working may be possible.
 
Responsibilities 

• Origination and development activities of solar PV projects (e.g. cadastral analysis of land, verification of constraints according to current legislation, etc.);
• Follow the authorization phase of development projects, answering questions from the bodies involved and participating in meetings and Conference of Services with the relevant authorities.
• Pre-feasibility of PV projects and preliminary estimate of the power and producibility of the PV plants under development;
• Search for and manage developers and designers to help progress project development;
• Negotiation with landowners regarding the purchase and sale of land and/or Surface Rights and/or cable duct easements;
• Coordination with the team that deals with analysis of constraints and environmental aspects in order to successfully develop projects in a timely manner;
• Management of relationships with local authorities (Municipalities, Provinces, Regions) for the issuing of authorizations and permits;
• Management of engagement with Enel and Terna in order to progress grid connection activities;
• Weekly and monthly reporting to senior management based in the United Kingdom.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of sector regulations and authorization procedures
• Familiarity with landscape constraints and regional portals used in authorization processes in the Italian energy market.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the development of medium or large sized solar projects.
• A self-starter, proactive team player, capable of leading by doing, able to work under pressure.
• High attention to detail.
• Motivated and able to work on own initiative.
• Organizational skills and time management.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of the English language.
