Production engineer
Location: Port Jerome sur Seine, France

The Production Engineer is considered the process expert and is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting and reporting on the daily activities of the business unit. Additionally, the Production Engineer is responsible for identifying and implementing operational improvement opportunities using operational excellence principles.

Job scope:

Safety and Environmental :
• Act as a safety role model, promoting and enforcing safe practices within the chemical unit.
• Lead (re)validations of PHAs for assigned area(s).
• Main PSSRs
• Lead incident investigations (safety/environment) for incidents occurring in assigned areas

Process monitoring and troubleshooting :
• Review PI trends, standard status trends, electronic log, shift reports, logbooks, incident reports, alarms and other appropriate production information.
• Report exceptions, trends, or other concerns and highlight areas where the team leader and team may need attention.
• Review any new projects, experiments, or other non-routine operations for the day.
• As part of daily reviews of IP, DCS, alarm monitoring, or other condition monitoring tools, the staff engineer should work to optimize operating objectives and limits.
• Provide technical assistance and support team managers and operators with process troubleshooting as requested or when needed
• Take responsibility for planning the start-up or transition of lines Continuous improvement
• Review procedures, assist with training, initiate MOCs, initiate or lead improvement projects
• Assist in the development and improvement of short and long term health monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as PI Trends/Charts, APEX, PowerBI, DCS Charts, Alarm Management, Lockouts, Point Monitoring setpoints, control strategies, etc.
• Direct execution of capital project in assigned area.

Profile:
A Masters in Engineering
• Min. 5 to 7 years in an equivalent position
• A fluent level of English (written and oral)
• Experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
