Job Summary
The Head, Maintenance & Engineering plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient & safe functioning of the terminals, which serve as critical hubs for receiving, storing, and distributing petroleum products.
 
Main Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the terminals, including product receipt, storage, blending, and dispatch with adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry best practices
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for terminal equipment and systems
• Ensure that all terminal operations and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and relevant legal requirements
• Conducting regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for terminal incidents
• Conduct drills and exercises to prepare the team for potential emergencies

 
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with up to 10 years of experience
• Minimum of 4-5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a similar role
• Membership in relevant professional associations is highly desired
• Vast understanding of terminal operations, maintenance practices, safety regulations, and industry best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to assess complex terminal-related issues and develop effective solutions
• Strong focus and commitment to safety
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Collaborative attitude
• Good relationship management skills
• Optimizing resources for terminal maintenance and operations
