On March 20th in Kenya, WTS Energy marked a milestone in our dedication to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards with the signing of the ‘Pact for Safety & Environment’ in partnership with a key client. This event emphasized our joint commitment to elevating HSE practices, setting new benchmarks for operational excellence at a project site we support.
The ceremony featured WTS Energy’s CEO, Jean-Paul (JP) de Jong, Director Paolo Masi, and the committed project team, alongside executives from our client. This collaboration highlighted our unified stance on prioritizing safety and environmental protection.
The significance of the pact lies in its establishment of a shared responsibility between WTS Energy and our client to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved, highlighting our commitment to a work culture that is both proactive and reactive in HSE matters. This agreement is a testament to our mutual commitment to not just meeting, but exceeding, standard safety and health practices.

We understand that a strong HSE culture not only protects our team and the communities we operate in but also ensures the longevity and success of our projects. By integrating HSE practices into our core operations, we aim to lead by example in our industry, demonstrating that safety, health, and environmental stewardship are key to achieving excellence and sustainability in energy services.

As a global supplier of services to the energy sector WTS Energy has put Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) on the map in Kenya. With our key partners and clients, we have held a HSE Week in our Spark Renewable Energy Hub, Nairobi. The program including a masterclass, lively panel discussion and presentations for students. All in all, a very successful event that should become an annual event.”
Not the first time we showcase our HSE commitment in Kenya
In October last year, Spark Energy Hub, one of our training platforms welcomed aspiring energy industry workers and experts in the field for their ‘HSE Days‘ event. These were three days where attendees took part of a masterclass, panel discussions, networking events, lectures, among others.
