Job Summary

We are looking for a Civil and Structural Engineer who has knowledge and experience in civil and structural engineering design for the Oil, Gas or Chemical sector. You will provide in-depth knowledge of engineering, design and technical expertise to key internal stakeholders within the organisation.

Requirements

• University degree in civil and structural engineering or related discipline.
• 8-12 years experience in the Oil, Gas or Chemical sector with civil and structural engineering design of pipelines and facilities.
• Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Experience in structural and foundation design.
• Experience in working with road, highway (access road) projects.
• Specialised knowledge in the area of civil and structural engineering, especially in the above mentioned projects, such as interconnections, remediation systems, facility changes, etc.
• Experience in surveying, soil mechanics and geotechnical studies.
• Must be proficient in the use of related software Autocad and Civil 3D, STAAD PRO, Global Mapper, ArcGIS, Navisworks .
• English: Intermediate

Responsibilities:

• Develop all applicable civil and structural engineering design for various projects. This scope includes, but is not limited to low volume interconnections, filtration systems, remediation, mainline and intra-facility repairs, access roads, etc.
• Develop technical scopes for contract engineering packages where applicable.
• Review of civil and structural engineering developed by third party contractors.
• Responsible for developing all engineering for foundations, concrete, structures, supports, platforms for different projects.
• Responsible for developing scopes of work for the reconditioning/repair of access roads to facilities (stations, MLVs, etc).
• Prepare civil engineering sketches and drawings, perform engineering calculations and develop analysis models for moderately complex project assignments. Prepare, review and/or approve vendor drawings to meet project specifications.
• Technical support during excavations if required.
