Job Summary:

As a Geologist, you’ll take the lead in assessing geophysical and geological data, ensuring its accuracy and reliability. Your responsibilities include coordinating exploration activities, analyzing drilling prospects, and supporting well planning efforts. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including joint venture partners and governmental organizations, will be crucial. You’ll also play a key role in presenting findings and supporting approval processes to drive exploration goals and portfolio growth while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Leadership position in geophysical and geological (G&G) assessment.
• Coordinating G&G work within Business Units, including related G&G service centers at Headquarters.
• Identifying, maturing, and mitigating drilling prospect risks, including volume and risk assessment in compliance with company exploration guidelines.
• Reservoir channel analysis, hydrocarbon charge loading, and drainage area analysis, and development of structural concepts.
• Providing operational staff support in well planning, including coordinating and overseeing operational activities, as well as contributing to well data acquisition strategy.
• Actively collaborating with joint venture partners.
• Presenting results internally and at mandated statutory (TCM) meetings, workshops, and conferences.
• Cooperating with Mexican research and governmental organizations.
• Supporting internal and external approval and planning processes.
• Integral participation in actively supporting exploration growth goals and portfolio expansion.
• Adhering to corporate HSEQ standards and data management.
• Close collaboration with the regional exploration team.

Qualifications:

• Master of Science in Geology or Geophysics
• Professional Experience
• More than 10 years of industry experience, including project management expertise.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
