Construction Advisor

Job Description

This is a staff positions (employment contract), with an attractive salary on offer and relocation package provided by the company, including family status.

Main Responsibilities
 
Construction Interface and Work (CIW) Manager

  • Oversee and manage the entire construction process of the ammonia and urea plant from planning to completion
  • Ensure the project is completed on time and within budget
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team during the construction phase, ensuring a smooth transition to commissioning phase.
  • Developing and optimizing construction process to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with local regulation, standards and client’s requirement.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams to mitigate construction milestone.
  • Experience with world scale construction of Ammonia & Urea plant in Russia are preferred.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in ammonia & urea plant, applying this knowledge to improve construction processes
  • Assign tasks, set clear objectives, and monitor performance.

 
Construction Management and site coordination

  • Review and developing detail construction schedule of Ammonia & Urea Project
  • Review of construction sequence for each process
  • Developing and optimizing of construction critical path
  • Control of GCC(General Construction Contractor)
  • Coordination for each construction activity
  • Management of construction milestone
  • Optimize resource allocation and manage supply chain
  • Review and developing of resource plan as per construction volume
  • Review and developing of material delivery schedule as per construction schedule
  • Prevent acitivity delay and prepare catchup plan
  • Review and developing of drawing issue as per construction schedule
  • Management of construction risk and prepare hedge plan
  • Assist weekly and monthly meetings with the construction team, subcontractors, and stakeholders to review progress, address issues, and plan upcoming activities.
  • Coordination to prevent interface(with each department, client and GCC, etc.)

 
 Safety Compliance

  • Responsibility regarding implementation of HSES Program & meet requirement
  • Planning and authorizing related all HSE matters
  • Developing HSE Program
  • Reviewing site activities to confirm compliance with the related HSE requirements
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with HSE standard

 
Quality Control

  • Review for Managing of quality control in construction, installation work and participation in acceptance of completed project
  • Ensuring Construction and Installation Work quality control, compliance of work’s scope, schedule and quality of materials, equipment, structures with engineering and estimation documentation, detail design and construction standards, rules and specifications

 
Commissioning Assistance

  • Support the commissioning process of ammonia plants, assistance all systems and components are installed, tested, and operated according to the requirements.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and support to resolve technical problems that may arise during the commissioning phase, assistance effective solutions to prevent delays
  • Assistant to improve commissioning processes and outcomes.

 
 
Experience and qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Around 15 years of experience in commissioning, with a strong preference for candidates who have specific experience in ammonia plant commissioning.
  • In-depth knowledge of ammonia production processes, systems, and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in plant design and commissioning.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Previous experience on projects in Russia would be a plus but is not essential
  • Previous experience carrying out projects applying equipment supplied by Indian, Chinese and Russian companies would be a plus but is not essential
