We have an excellent job opportunity as Procurement Specialist with a Global Leader in the EPC industry.
 
With over 80 years of experience on the market, our client has established himself as a world class player in Construction, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and more, with a recognized reputation for excellence and a cutting edge R&D Centre.
 
As the company is embarking in a new and exciting journey, expanding their business in the Ammonia industry, we are looking for experienced Specialists to join them and contribute to the development of unique, large-scale Projects.
 
We are seeking skilled Procurement Specialists for Rotating Equipment with previous experience working on projects in China and good knowledge of the Chinese supply chain market, to join the company’s team in Seoul, Soth Korea.
 
There are two vacancies currently available: one for a Procurement Specialist focusing Pump/Compressor and a second vacancy for a Procurement Specialist focusing on Reformer and Package Items.

Main Responsibilities
 

• Sources suppliers in China and India, issues requests for pre-qualification, evaluates pre-qualifications
• Qualifies suppliers, issues requests for proposals, evaluates proposals, maintains subcontract files in accordance with established procedures.
• Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services and supplies.
• Takes responsibility for purchases in support of customer-related business processes or for internal use.
• Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers, and is responsible for negotiating refunds.
• Coordinates with construction, operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.
• Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.
• Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.

 
Experience and qualifications
 

• 15 + years of experience in Procurement
• Specific experience purchasing Reformer/Package Items OR Rotating equipment Pump/Compressor 
• Previous experience working on projects in China and familiarity with Supply Chain in China
• Candidates who have rich experience on the Chinese market are strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Procurement cycle for KBR and/or Casale and/or Toyo projects during Project Proposal and Procurement Stages
• Native mandarin speakers would be highly desirable for this role
