Hi Omar, could you please introduce yourself?
Omar
Hi, I am Omar. I have extensive experience in vibration monitoring for centrifugal turbine and motor-driven pumps, as well as compressors. I’ve worked with well-known engineering companies, handling a wide range of tasks, including leading SIL assessments, engineering teams, and field instrumentation projects.
As a senior instrumentation engineer, what does your job entail?
Omar
My current job involves overseeing the instrumentation of controllers within the project. In more detail, this includes all the instruments used on-site to measure process variables, as well as specifying those instruments. I’m also responsible for the control system, ensuring the plant operates within the control envelope. I started in this role last February, so it’s been a few months now.
So far, are you enjoying the job? Do you feel like it’s helping you grow personally?
Omar
Yeah, I like my job. It’s a challenging but good project.
Good to hear. Regarding your experience with us, how did you first come in contact with us?
Omar
A colleague of yours from France contacted me via LinkedIn. Everything went smoothly from there, and that’s how I got in touch with your company. The communication with her and with the company overall was very smooth.
How has your journey been with us, from the start to where you are today?
Omar
After the initial contact, I have a designated person at your company that I can reach out to with any questions or challenges. We do a monthly check-in, and someone from your team, like Janneke, visits the field once a month to ensure everything is going smoothly. For other matters, such as invoices, I work with different experts from your company who handle specific tasks.
