Facilities Engineer

About The Role

For an important International E&P Company, we are currently looking for a Facilities Engineer to work in Mexico City.

To be successful in this Role, you need:

• University Degree in Engineering (Process, Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or related technical discipline).
• Demonstrate at least 5 to 10 years relevant experience in Facilities Engineering/construction specially in process engineering/design and optimization within the framework of upstream projects.
• Have relevant experience and technical understanding of onshore processing equipment in particular water treatment & processing.

Scope of work includes but is not limited to:

• Support Facilities Engineering Lead in managing Owners Engineering in reviewing the FEED study results
• Prepare scope of work for invitation to tender (ITT) documents for EPC scope
• Evaluate EPC tender and facilitates toward awarding contracts
• Provide technical expertise for the project and engineering in water treatment
• Ensure that engineering is performed in accordance with standards and functional specifications

• Give engineering support to projects, ensure maturity and deliverables through project approval.
• Support the interphase management for engineering works
• Provide quality control on the cost estimates and schedule information provided from engineering contractors.
• Perform technical assurance of work performed by contractors.
• Provide technical input to and evaluation of tenders and contracts as required.
• Provide support to internal and external project review activities

Technical And Non-Technical Skills

Technical Skills (Special Technical knowledge: As: Software. Law knowledge, standards knowledge, etc.)

• Knowledge and understanding of relevant local regulations and standards
• Familiar with the use of facility software.
• Good experience in facility procurement processes
• Track-record of technical understanding of development and construction activities, HSE, field operations and commercial aspects.
• Experience in Project Engineering and Management
• Experience in Engineering and Construction management
• Service to be provided mainly from our offices located in Mexico City with the option to travel within Mexico to Operation sites and other locations where services are provided.

Mandatory skills:

Excellent English and Spanish communication skills.

Location based: Mexico City

Contract for specific work (~9 to 12 months)
