Job Description

For an important international Oil & Gas company we are currently looking for a I&C Engineer to work out in Mexico City.

Required Qualifications:

  • Instrumentation and Control, Automation or related engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Chemical sector.
  • Experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering design of pipelines and facilities.
  • knowledge in Instrumetation and Control engineering.
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations in Mexico

 

What you will do: 

– Develop all applicable Instrumentation and Control engineering design for a project.

– Provide technical expertise and leadership in engineering, design, implementation, programming, configuration, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of control and instrumentation systems along with all associated control system devices, computers, communications, networks, end items and instrumentation (Programmable Logic Controller “PLC”, HMI and SCADA systems).

– Elaborate technical scopes to contract engineering packages when applicable.

– Review of Instrumentation and Control engineering developed by third party contractors.

– Ensure successful execution of Instrumentation and Control engineering scope of projects on time and cost in accordance with the company. 

– Responsible for maintaining updated Instrumentation and Control engineering design standards in Mexico and ensuring compliance with Mexican regulation, also considering lessons learned.

– Participation and Development of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP).

– Participation in Change Management processes of technical projects (integrity, metering, interconnection, valves, filtration, etc.).

– Responsible for updating existing Instrumentation and Controls engineering information as required (drawings, operating philosophies, basis of design, etc.).

– Provide expertise, create and review/approve a variety of technical documentation, including control diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), control panel layout diagrams and other electrical drawings, cause and effect matrices, control narratives, test procedures, commissioning documentation, user manuals, troubleshooting guides, technical presentations and training materials.
