Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Flexilay PLC Technician with global vessel experience to join our team. As a Flexilay PLC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Flexilay PLC systems on vessels operating worldwide. Your expertise in programming and configuring PLCs, combined with your knowledge of marine operations, will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Flexilay PLC Systems: Install, configure, program, and maintain Flexilay PLC systems on various vessels operating globally, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
2. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to Flexilay PLC systems through systematic troubleshooting and diagnostics.
3. System Upgrades: Perform upgrades and modifications to existing Flexilay PLC systems to enhance functionality and efficiency, keeping abreast of the latest industry standards and technological advancements.
4. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for Flexilay PLC systems, conducting routine inspections, testing, and calibration to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all activities related to Flexilay PLC systems, including maintenance reports, installation procedures, and modifications. Prepare technical documentation as required.
6. Training and Support: Provide training and support to vessel crew members on the operation and maintenance of Flexilay PLC systems, promoting a culture of safety and knowledge sharing.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, electricians, and project managers, to coordinate and execute vessel-based projects effectively, ensuring seamless integration of Flexilay PLC systems.
8. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures.
9. Global Vessel Operations: Travel to different locations worldwide to support vessel operations and provide technical expertise in the installation and maintenance of Flexilay PLC systems.

You are meant for this job if you have

• Recognised PLC trade qualification (BTEC Higher National Diploma, NVQ Level 3, SVQ Level 3 or Equivalent) with sufficient industry experience to assure competence
• Offshore experience
• Experience on Flexilay equipment will be appreciated
• Cooperating with others, mutual support and adapting to change
• Safety and Customer focused
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Valid Offshore Survival certificate / Valid Offshore Medical certificate (OGUK) / OPITO CA-EBS Initial Deployment Training / Bi-Deltoid Shoulder Measurement
• Extensive experience as a PLC Technician, with a focus on Flexilay PLC systems and marine operations.
