RD Manager

Team Overview and Job responsibilities

We are looking for the Research and Development Manager for a factory in Keila, Estonia. The successful candidate will report directly to the Country Manager Baltics and will be responsible on the following:

• ensuring that all products manufactured in the factory are designed in accordance with current standards and specifications, properly documented, including correct raw materials, pricing and etc;
• providing technical knowledge in the design of products, processes and existing products;
• improving processes following up sustainability targets;
• managing of product development processes, including standardization and description of processes in the company ERP systems (CA, SAP);
• Creation, pilot production and certification of new products;
• Testing, approving and certifying new materials;
• managing cost saving projects (Design to cost);
• Coordination of activities necessary for the certification of CPR products;
• together with finance update annual standard costs (PPC1) and define production and financial costs;
• Management of the SSRM (Single Source Raw Materials) program with the purchasing department

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate, who has:

• University degree in technical field
• Excellent oral and written skills in both Estonian and English.
• Affinity with technology and projects and interested in energy transition.
• knowledge of the design criteria of electrical systems
• Knowledge of national and international requirements and standards for products
• Competence in the management of people and processes
• Willingness to be on a business trip
