Job Description

For an important international Energy company, we are currently looking for a Community Liaison Officer to work in Mexico. If you’re passionate and deeply curious about finding solutions to new challenges, you could be the perfect fit for this role.

 
To be successful in this Role, you need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Engineering.
Five years of experience working in Oil & Gas.
In-depth knowledge of the natural gas pipeline business, community relation.
Ability to work with Communities.
Ability to coordinate issues with community and indigenous relations and prepares various internal formats.
Availability to travel
Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills

Scope of work includes but is not limited to:
 

Support the work team on relations with indigenous communities, for the identification of the documentation required in the integration of social support files.
Design and prepare proposals for draft agreements/contracts for subsequent validation by the legal department.
Provide support to the heads of the permit departments and indigenous relations teams in the review of the minutes of the general assembly of ejidatarios, minutes of council sessions, etc.
Interact with the compliance and legal departments.
Actively participate in periodic work meetings to follow up on social support files.
Follow up on social support in the compliance area.
When required to participate in ejido assemblies held by the Stakeholders.
Attend the signing of agreements/contracts with stakeholders at the corresponding notary offices.
Review of contracts/agreements with their formalized annexes.
Ensures strict compliance with company policies and procedures.
 
Mandatory skills:
 
Excellent English communication skills.
