Job Description

For an important International Oil&Gas Company, we are currently looking for a Compliance Director to work in Mexico City. If you’re passionate and deeply curious about finding solutions to new challenges, you could be the perfect fit for this role.
 
To be successful in this Role, you need:

Bachelor’s degree in law, Engineering, or a related field, master’s degree or diploma is a plus to be considered.
5 years of experience as a Compliance Director in companies within the oil industry, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
At least 5 years of experience in team management.
5 years of relevant Oil&Gas permits and regulatory compliance management experience.
Must possess excellent relationship-building skills with both the team and government entities.
You should possess an ethical level and honesty that guides your decisions and actions to align with the values and culture of the organization.

Scope of work includes but is not limited to:
 
Establish and maintain internal and external key stakeholder relationships.
To ensure that complex projects meet their deadlines and avoid financial penalties.
Identify and build future major permits and stakeholder management team capability and resources to support the complex electric and gas capital delivery plan, succession planning and training.
Ensure close collaboration with the lawyers and other consultants who will perform the necessary legal and technical work in each case, as well as the engineering project teams and environmental staff to ensure that all requests for permits and licenses are filed in a timely manner.  
Responsible for ensuring adequate resources are being committed to the permitting and licensing of the projects.
Provide the leadership and influence for the development and management of stakeholder outreach and communication strategy.
Local relationship management.

Mandatory skills:
Excellent English and Spanish communication skills.

Location based: Mexico City
