Our team is currently looking to fill a role for our client in Houston, TX for a Project Material Manager. This role will be responsible to ensure that project Post Order Management activities are executed and guarantee that purchased goods are available at destination as per planning.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Contract reviews, risk assessments, and issue the Project Execution Plan and Project Procedures for Post Order Management activities during the project start-up phase.
• Monitor man-hours utilization relevant to Post Order Management activities to ensure alignment with hours budget for the project.
• Work with PM and relevant Functional Managers to define the strategy for expediting, inspection, and shipping activities for the project.
• Coordinate Post Order project team assuring its adequacy and efficiency.
• Contribute to the definition of the Project Purchase Request / Purchase Order, in coordination with competent Project positions.
• Ensure the continuous monitoring of expected milestones achievements related to POs and provide relevant reporting.
• Ensure the execution of expediting activities on purchased goods, reporting any deviation with respect to the contractual delivery time.
• Take responsibility for the contractual alignment and execution of quality control activities on purchased goods.
• Contribute to the definition of the Project transportation strategy and finalization of the IDS.
• Ensure the execution, planning, design and management of customs clearance and documentation.
• Make certain any variations impacting Post Order Management activities and promptly addressed and handled.
• Ensure the effective use of Systems, Applications and Tools (i.e., SAP, Data warehouse) for managing Post Order Management activities.

Requirements:

• Experience applying Project Procurement management tools and techniques, and principles to the procurement process and be able to coordinate complex projects.
• Possess knowledge of supply chain process (engineering, purchasing, production and fabrications, assembling, packing, transportation, clearing through customs, preservation, and installation).
• Ability to focus on Project objectives and Purchase Order requirements in terms of performance, quantities and quality characteristics, time schedule, and cost (expediting, quality control during manufacturing stages, shipping, and customs activities of purchased goods).
• Ability to plan, coordinate, execute, monitor, and improve post order process for goods.
• Capability to manage inspections and testing activities by planning and coordinating internal or external personnel.
• Experience managing the GOODS supply chain cycle phases, including manufacturing processes and construction methods.
• Knowledge of International Rules, Codes and Standards.
• Up to date on Non-Destructive Examination, welding techniques and qualification processes.
• Knowledge of Project Post Order activities (expediting, quality control during manufacturing stages, shipping, and customs activities of purchased goods).
