CONTRACTS MANAGER

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the commercial and contractual elements throughout the development lifecycle of two offshore wind farm projects. You will cover the contractual negotiations of new and renewed contracts with a range of providers. The role will support the project team in developing agreements with third parties, ensuing that they are in the best interests of the projects. The Contracts Manager will also lead on managing the insurance elements of these contracts. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in contract management, ideally having worked on offshore infrastructure projects in the UK.

What you’ll do:

• Together with the relevant workstreams, you will negotiate, complete and manage contracts on behalf of the Client
• Support tendering activity to help identify the most commercially attractive options
• Develop generic contract templates, where not currently available, for certain types of contracts and scopes of work
• Ensure that the commercial and legal position across all contracts is consistent, meeting business requirements and risk profile
• Ensure that contract terms are coordinated across workstreams

What we’re looking for :

• A degree (or above) or  a professional qualification in a relevant discipline
• Effective negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering success in a commercial or engineering environments
• Good knowledge of UK contract law and commercial contracting
• Detailed knowledge of the project life cycle
• Detailed knowledge of supply chain management principles
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to interpret detailed commercial documentation and express results either verbally or in written form to the project team and senior management
• Demonstrable experience of defining and delivering a procurement strategy (desirable)
