I still remember the first issue of our consultant newsletter at the end of 2023. We asked our consultants how they spent their New Year holidays and their hopes and wishes for 2024. People were optimistic, ambitious and ready for the future. Now, we are coming to the end of the year – a time that feels both familiar and special. 

To close the year, we reached out to our consultants, asking them to share the best advice they received in 2024. The stories shared were wise and meaningful. Their experiences show that words of encouragement can have a lasting impact. The year may be ending, but the lessons we’ve learned are just the start of the next chapter. 

What’s the best advice you got in 2024?

One of the most memorable pieces of advice this year comes from Henk, a senior well engineer. With demanding schedules and spending long hours at the well site, balancing work and personal life can often feel like an challenge. 

While finding balance is key, the way we approach life itself is also important.  

For many working onshore—and even more so offshore—your hard work means so much. We hope you can find time to see your loved ones and enjoy meaningful moments together. You deserve it! 

Another consultant Lilian added:  

Our lives are not just about what happens to us, but about how we think and what we do. Small steps can lead to big changes. 

Jairus as a vendor management and qualification specialist, share the best advice he received regarding vendor management activities:
