Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to join our client’s team in Rennes, France, for a 4-month contract with an immediate start. The ideal candidate will ensure the application and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards within our operations. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing preventative measures to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor safety management systems to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and devise risk mitigation strategies.
• Perform regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-conformities.
• Lead accident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs to staff and management.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on HSE performance and incidents.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and drills, ensuring readiness for any situation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.

Required Competences:

• Proven experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) roles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues effectively.
• Excellent report writing and attention to detail.
• Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Proficient in safety management systems and auditing.
• Fluent in French and English; Italian proficiency is considered an added value.
• Relevant certifications in HSE practices are preferred.
