Installation Engineer

Location: Paris, France

Duration: 12 Months with Potential Extension

Overview

WTS Energy is seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to join our team in Paris, France. This role is pivotal for professionals with a strong background in deepwater engineering and a proven track record in the installation engineering of subsea infrastructure. The successful candidate will contribute to the seamless execution of projects, ensuring the efficient and safe installation of rigid flowlines, flexible jumpers, umbilicals, and Subsea Production System (SPS) structures. Experience onboard installation vessels is preferred, highlighting a practical understanding of the challenges and requirements of offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough review and analysis of installation analyses, procedures, and task plans for subsea infrastructure, including rigid flowlines, flexible jumpers, umbilicals, and SPS structures.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure installation engineering activities align with project schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
• Provide technical expertise and support in the planning and execution phases of subsea installation projects.
• Participate in offshore campaigns as required, offering onsite technical support and ensuring adherence to operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Interface with contractors, ensuring that all installation activities are executed according to the highest engineering standards and project specifications.
• Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation strategies, ensuring the identification and management of potential hazards associated with installation activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering.
• More than 5 years of experience in deepwater engineering, with a focus on the installation of subsea infrastructure such as rigid flowlines, flexible jumpers, umbilicals, and SPS structures.
• Demonstrated experience onboard installation vessels is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages, especially French, would be an asset.
