Position: LNG Engineer

Start Date: 01/02/2024 or ASAP

Duration: 1 Year Renewable

Overview

WTS Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced LNG Engineer. The LNG Engineer will play a crucial role in promoting operational excellence across non-operated LNG assets through various phases of their lifecycle, from project study and development to production and post-Final Investment Decision (FID) project phase. This position requires a deep understanding of LNG operations, a rigorous and analytical approach to tasks, and the ability to mentor and improve knowledge within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote Operational Excellence in Non-Operated LNG Assets:
  • In the project study and development phase, provide tailored deliverables such as operating philosophy, OPEX, facility availability study, flow assurance, maintenance, and inspection philosophies.
  • Participate in audits and technical reviews of the project as the “Operations” representative.
  • During the production phase, act as the technical focal point within OneTech, offering technical assistance for the smooth operation of the asset in conjunction with the asset manager and the expertise teams of the OneTech branch.
  • Provide technical assistance during the project phase (post FID) to ensure smooth project execution, as requested by the team in charge.
  • Help improve knowledge in the LNG field by preparing HSE and technical feedback reports, mentoring young engineers, and assisting in the development of benchmarks.

Technical Prerequisites

• Advanced engineering expertise with a specialization in the field of LNG.
• Operational expertise, preferably with responsibility, on LNG production sites.
• A rigorous and analytical approach to task completion, capable of managing several activities simultaneously, covering development phases “from design to production” and asset assistance in operations.
• Fluency in both French and English is required to effectively communicate and operate within the service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or related fields.
• Over 5 years of experience in the LNG industry, with a proven track record of success in operational roles and project development.
