Job Title: Planning Engineer

Location:  Athens – Greece

Job purpose:
Assist the Planning & Cost Control Coordinator / Manager on Project Planning System implementation, maintenance & updating. Assist the Planning & Cost Control Coordinator / Manager on the preparation of various internal and external reports.
Reporting lines and interactions: Hierarchically reports to: Project Planning & Cost Control Coordinator / Manager.
Operationally reports to: Planning Department Manager. Directly supervises (operationally): N/A Key interactions (internally, externally): Other disciplines’ engineers, Project Engineers/ Managers, project support functions such as Procurement, Document controller.

Profile:
Must have/be

• Engineering Degree or Diploma (4 or 5 years degree), with preference to Chemical or Mechanical engineer.
• Excellent knowledge of scheduling computer tools (i.e., Primavera Project Planner P6).
• Experience in planning, scheduling on Project activities in Oil & Gas sector.
• Excellent Knowledge of General S/W (MS Office etc.).
• Strong communicative and analytical skills
• Able to work in a team environment and handle multiple Project responsibilities.
• Willing to work in an international environment.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Master degree in related areas.
• Field Engineering experience.

Main accountabilities:

 • Assist the Planning & Cost Control Coordinator / Manager on the preparation of various internal and external reports.
• Assists the Planning & Cost Control Coordinator / Manager to develop Project Schedule compliant with the selected execution strategy, to mitigate risks and reduce costs.
• Assists the Planning & Cost Control Coordinator / Manager to define and set up the Planning & Scheduling system (methods, procedures, planned and actual progress measurement, dashboards, etc.).
• Interacts with the Project Team members for the Project Schedule development, update and monitoring, as well as for the actual project progress determination.
• Increases Project Team members’ awareness of the project milestones, main durations and critical paths.
• Monitors the project status to detect any schedule delay.
• Monitors the project status and assists Planning Control Coordinator/ Manager and the project team members to detect and quantify any deviation from contractual obligations.
• Assists the Planning & Cost Control Coordinator / Manager to prepare the monthly progress reports for the Client and the Project Manager(s)
