Procurement Advisor – Mexico City
 
We are looking for a Procurement Advisor based in Mexico City, if you are passionate about challenges and creating multidisciplinary teams this position is for you.
To be successful in this role you need:

  • 7-10 years of experience in procurement in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 5 years focused on offshore development projects.
  • Good understanding of Contractors available in the local Mexican market providing services to upstream offshore shallow-water projects, from the Pre-FEED studies, EPC Contractors and Commissioning.
  • Proven experience in managing procurement activities for large-scale offshore projects, including FEED and EPCI contracts, rigs contracts and well engineering contracts within the oil and gas industry.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, potential development concepts, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Assit and advise on Tendering Processes (from ITT process to Recommendation for Award (RfA)
  • Identify, evaluate, and assist on developing relationships with key suppliers and vendors and provide advice on negotiations of key contracts and agreements to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
  • Ensure that the Procurement Process is in compliance with company policies, industry standards, project-specific requirements and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
  • Provide advice on procurement topics to other projects within the company as needed.
  • In-depth understanding of FEED and EPCI contract structures and requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling rig, well engineering material and services contracts
  • Strong understanding of offshore project requirements and challenges (in particular in North America / Mexico).
