Quality Assurance Manager – (Mega Dam Project)

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join an ambitious Mega Dam Project. As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all aspects of the project meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking infrastructure project with global significance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Implement QA Policies: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures tailored to the unique requirements of the Mega Dam Project.
2. Quality Control Oversight: Oversee all quality control activities, including inspections, audits, and testing procedures, to ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory standards.
3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential quality risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively, ensuring the project progresses smoothly and without compromising on quality standards.
4. Supplier and Contractor Management: Collaborate closely with suppliers and contractors to establish and maintain rigorous quality standards throughout the supply chain, from materials procurement to project completion.
5. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards, as well as project-specific quality requirements, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
6. Quality Performance Reporting: Generate regular reports on quality performance metrics, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to project stakeholders and senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
7. Team Leadership and Training: Lead a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure a high level of competence and performance within the QA department.
8. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of quality assurance processes and procedures, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience 20+ years in a similar role within the construction or infrastructure sector, with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and compliance.
• Experience in mega dam projects is preferential but not essential.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant quality management systems, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, etc.).
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing multidisciplinary teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Certification(s) in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Quality Auditor, etc.) would be advantageous.
