Position: Quality Control Supervisor
Location: Bonje, Mombasa Kenya 
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for developing, directing, and coordinating a comprehensive quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) program for staff involved in the collection and analysis of samples. They establish, coordinate, and monitor the laboratory quality system, working closely with section supervisors to plan, schedule, and implement quality assurance functions. The supervisor ensures general compliance with all relevant procedures and systems related to the agri-hub operations.
Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate laboratory performance testing using samples provided by or collected from commercial agencies/suppliers.
• Oversee the collection of samples and analysis of products to determine quality compliance before they are received and stored.
• Ensure that products meet the established standards of quality set by the company.
• Prepare reports, compile and maintain records on product quality status, and all tests and inspections conducted.
• Perform testing in accordance with the Standard General’s Quality Control System.
• Compose, review, and follow up on external communications with the external laboratory service provider.
• Provide recommendations on procedures, standards, and equipment to maintain product quality.
• Ensure the correct quality process is followed and provide quick training where necessary.
• Conduct a monthly inventory of chemicals, reagents, solutions, and other supplies and equipment essential to laboratory operation.
• Clean, sterilize, calibrate, and maintain equipment and apparatus used in all tests and analysis.
• Assist the Production Supervisor with hands-on operational activities when needed, ensuring production requirements are met and adequate support is provided.
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
• Analyze test data and implement corrective action to prevent non-conforming products.
• Assist in documentation and data control.
• Ensure care and maintenance of testing equipment, including calibration.
• Manage factory permits, compliance, and certification.
• Ensure general compliance with all procedures and systems related to general Agri-hub operations.
• Manage the quality audit process.
• Oversee all receiving and dispatch of items relative to quality requirements.
• Formulate quality-related SOPs, COA, checklists, questionnaires, work instructions, etc., as appropriate.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the manager.

Job Requirements:

• BSc/Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Process/Chemical Engineering, or any other relevant field. Fluent knowledge of English.
• 3-5 years of experience as a QA professional, preferably in a vegetable oil extraction plant.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, and procedures.
• Firefighting and HSE basic courses (preferred).
• Project management.
• Quality control and assurance.
