Job Title: Lead Engineer – Risers
Location: Houston, TX (on-site)
Type of Role: Direct Hire / Permanent
Salary: $140k USD annually

Our team is currently looking to fill a role for our client in Houston, TX for a Lead Engineer (Risers) focused on integrating the Engineering Department and project teams to execute Detail Design, FEED, feasibility studies and tenders associated to Risers systems offshore projects.

Responsibilities:

· Perform / supervise the correct execution of Riser analysis.
· Ensure all Riser design activities are properly and correctly managed to guarantee quality of product based on job requirements.
· Support tendering activities.
· Aid in implementing the most efficient and effective solutions for installation activities.
· Organize and participate in design reviews.
· Specify and follow-up of the equipment including associated documentation (VIV strakes, buoyancy modules, flexible joints, steel stress joints)
· Regular reporting to Engineering Manager for progress, deviation, development, issues and concerns.
· Riser engineering developments and studies related to scope.
· Management of drafting priorities to comply with milestones.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering (Structural, Civil, Mechanical)
• 5 years’ minimum of relevant experience in rigid / flexible risers engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of DNV and API codes applicable to risers.
• Advanced knowledge of Orcaflex, Shear7 and Python.
• Knowledge of fatigue and fracture mechanics.
