Senior Cost Estimator

Location: Abu Dhabi

Duration: 6 months.

WTS energy is looking to hire an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to provide expert cost estimating services for one of client who is a reputed oil and gas EPCM company. Ideal person will be estimating for clients in a team environment.

In this role, one may be required to consult with the client and visit job sites, collect and analyze data, and provide estimates within the defined levels of accuracy as required by the Lead Estimator

To ensure success as a Senior Cost Estimator, you should have in-depth knowledge of construction and various engineering processes at detailed below, a good eye for detail, and advanced mathematical skills.

Abu Dhabi role Sunday to Thursday Working Week, 40hrs a week

Cost Estimator Responsibilities:

• Meeting with client to discuss the scope and scale of the project.
• Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and architects.
• Identifying and quantifying all cost factors involved in the project.
• Using computer software to calculate cost estimates.
• Obtaining material pricing and organizing all the information necessary to create and submit estimates to the client
• Using detailed spreadsheets and company-approved formulas to calculate the projected costs of proposed projects
• Documenting total materials needed, including detail regarding all codes, brands, and contact information necessary to process orders
• Preparing and presenting cost estimates for clients.

Cost Estimator Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a similar field.
• 10 Years’ experience that can be demonstrated in a Sr Estimating Role and a total of 15 years total Estimating experience.
• Detailed knowledge and the ability to demonstrate a specialty in one or more of the following fields:
  • Mechanical Estimating
  • Piping Estimating
  • Civils Estimating
  • Electrical and Instrumental Estimating
  • Structural Estimating
  • Onshore Oil & Gas
  • Offshore Oil & Gas
• Advanced knowledge of construction and engineering processes.
• High-level mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Advanced analytical skills.
• Proficient with computer estimation software (KBASE).
• Proficient With ALL Microsoft Office Apps and Software, Especially Advanced Excel Skills
• A full and detailed knowledge of “First Principles” Estimating methodology
• A full and detailed knowledge of Parametric Estimating, Benchmarking, and their uses
• The ability to work in a multiethnic team environment
