Senior Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on a small to medium size project, or in a sub-lead role in execution of mainly brownfield projects in the downstream refinery for one of our customers.

Job requires supervision of the Electrical project team (engineers/designers) in the Netherlands as well as remote office.

Preferred Experience

·        Good English communication skills, both written and verbal

·        Dutch Language, desirable

·        Pro-active attitude. Maintains effective communication with project team members and all stakeholders

·        Candidate can work independently and reports to project engineer/manager or overall Lead Engineer.

·        Flexible for travelling / site visits. In possession of a valid driving license

Minimum criteria that are required for hire, used to shortlist applications:
·        SC/MSc in electrical engineering

·        Typically has 12+ years of relevant discipline experience in multiple companies.

·        Have a strong technical background in power generation and LV/MV distribution systems, specifically experience in executing MV and LV SWB replacement works.

·        Site experience, Construction, Commissioning, and start-up experience, desirable

·        Experience in Electrical engineering and design work for complete electrical power systems and installations throughout project life cycle i.e., Concept design, FEED, and Detail Design for brownfield type of projects

·        Good knowledge and understanding of international codes and standards, and European Directives, i.e. IEC, EN, IEEE, ATEX,  ..etc.

·        Familiar with the Dutch NEN codes and standards, desirable

·        Familiar with checking Power system studies (LF, SCC & motor starting, protection coordination), as a minimum, with any of the following tools: ETAP, Vision capable to review all calculations required for sizing & selection of electrical equipment

·        Experienced in performance of various electrical activities, such as preparation of equipment specifications, requisitions, data sheets, preparation of construction packages, electrical sub-contracts, technical bid evaluation, electrical material estimates, quality checks of documents and planning and preparation of interpreting Circuit Diagrams and Schematics.

·        Provide technical support to site activities with flexibility for (Site Assignment)

·        Experience work in inspections and FAT’s
