Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our railway construction project team as a Planner. As a Planner, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing project schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring the timely and efficient completion of railway construction projects. Your expertise in project planning, scheduling, and coordination will be essential in ensuring the successful execution of our railway projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project schedules and work plans for railway construction projects, considering factors such as project scope, available resources, and project constraints.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
• Conduct thorough analysis of project tasks, dependencies, and critical paths to identify potential schedule risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress and track actual versus planned performance using project management tools and techniques.
• Identify and address schedule deviations, delays, and potential conflicts proactively, proposing corrective actions as necessary to ensure project timeline adherence.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely availability of resources, materials, and equipment required for project execution.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to incorporate their schedules into the overall project plan and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports, including schedule updates, progress summaries, and key performance indicators, to project stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and provide inputs on schedule-related matters, making recommendations for adjustments and improvements as needed.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements related to project planning and scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project planning and scheduling within the railway construction industry, preferably with large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in using project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify critical paths, anticipate potential schedule risks, and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established deadlines.
• Knowledge of railway construction regulations, standards, and practices is highly desirable.
• Professional certifications, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM), are a plus.
