We have an excellent career opportunity as Project Engineer with a renowned client in the Netherlands. They are a specialist provider of integrated solutions for the Oil & Gas, Energy and Maritime industry, bringing together a wealth of expertise and innovation in engineering services, covering the entire oil and gas value chain and beyond.

With a solid presence in 10 countries and a team of 2,000 experienced professionals, our client is looking for a Project Engineer to grow the team in Amsterdam area, as the business is expanding.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting a range of projects managed by the company in the field of offshore steel structures, construction/repair and maintenance of equipment present on offshore facilities such as rigs, platforms and barges.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Project Engineer will have a key position interfacing the construction, marine, logistics and purchasing departments.

Please note that due to the urgency of this requirement, candidates must be based in the Netherlands and hold the permanent right to work.

 
Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts.
• Preparation of conversion specifications
• Project execution
• Procurement of equipment and selection of contractors
• Planning, budgeting and accounting
• Assist with on-site management to ensure project success
• Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines

Experience and qualifications

• Master’s degree in marine or offshore Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3 -10 years’ experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager
• Experience in Offshore or Maritime Industry
• Good knowledge of steel construction and industrial equipment maintenance such as engines, cranes, pumps etc.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
• Fluent in English, Intermediate level of French Language required (plus)
